This Privacy Policy explains what PlayBlockDominoes.com ("we," "our," or "us") collects when you visit this website, why, and what you can do about it. It describes the site as it actually works today rather than as a generic template, and we update it when the site changes.
The short version: this is a free browser game with no accounts and no payments. We never ask you for your name, address or any other identifying detail. What we do run is Google AdSense, Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics, all of which collect data about your visit, and all of which are described below.
Because these things do not exist on this site, we cannot and do not collect the data that would go with them:
Games run entirely in your browser. When you close the tab or press "New Game," the state of that game is gone, and it never reaches our servers.
Like almost all websites, this one records technical information as a by-product of serving pages to you. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard request data including your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages you request, referring URLs, and timestamps. This is used to deliver the site, keep it available, and diagnose faults.
In addition, the three third-party services described in Section 4 each collect information about your visit directly, in your browser, under their own privacy policies.
We display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices. We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-XJBJ1L99WE) to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, how people arrive, and roughly where in the world they are. Google Analytics sets cookies in the _ga family to distinguish one visitor from another. We do not use it to identify individuals and we do not upload any identifying data to it.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies as described in Section 6.
We also use Vercel Analytics, which reports page views and performance metrics for the site. It is designed to work without cookies and without tracking visitors across sites.
The site writes a single value to your browser's local storage, ads_test_mode, which is a development flag controlling whether test ads are shown. It contains no personal information, is readable only by this site, and stays on your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
The cookies set when you visit this site come from the third parties named in Section 4 — advertising cookies from Google AdSense, and measurement cookies from Google Analytics. We do not set any login, session, or personalisation cookies of our own, because there is nothing here to log in to.
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings, and you can use the opt-out links in Section 4 to limit personalised advertising specifically. Blocking cookies will not stop the game from working — it runs entirely in your browser and does not depend on them.
Where required by law, Google's consent management is used to obtain consent for advertising and measurement cookies before they are set, and your choice is respected on subsequent visits. Where we rely on consent as our legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time; for everything else, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating, measuring and funding a free website.
If you write to contact@playblockdominoes.com or support@playblockdominoes.com, we hold your message and email address for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of it. We use it only to reply to you. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list, and we do not pass your address to anyone else.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Data reaches third parties only in these ways:
We do not operate our own analytics database or user records, so retention is mostly determined by the providers above: Google Analytics data is retained according to the property's configured retention period, and hosting request logs are retained on Vercel's standard schedule. Email correspondence is kept until it is no longer needed for the enquiry it relates to.
The providers named above operate globally, so your information may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider maintains, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Residents of California and other US states with comparable laws have similar rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
One honest caveat about exercising these rights with us: because we do not collect names, accounts or any other identifier, we usually have no way to find data "belonging to" a particular person in what we hold. For advertising and analytics data, the most effective route is the Google opt-out and deletion controls linked in Section 4. For anything else, write to contact@playblockdominoes.com and we will respond within 30 days.
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our host is encrypted in transit. Because we hold no accounts, no passwords and no payment details, the most sensitive category of data simply is not present. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
This site is suitable for general audiences but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Browsers vary in how they express Do Not Track and there is no agreed standard for honouring it, so this site does not respond to DNT signals. The cookie controls and opt-out links in Sections 4 and 6 are the reliable options.
This site links to third-party websites, and advertisements link to destinations we do not control. This policy covers only PlayBlockDominoes.com. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.
